And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Manny Ramirez!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Robert Twigg and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ramirez misses with a hook to the body
letting Pfeifer counter with a right hand.

Pfeifer fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Ramirez on the side of the head.
Ramirez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pfeifer backs up against the cage.
Ramirez is looking to clinch but Pfeifer is avoiding it.
Ramirez fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pfeifer on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Ramirez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Pfeifer paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Ramirez is trying to break the clinch but Pfeifer is controlling him.

Pfeifer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Pfeifer swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Ramirez cracks Pfeifer with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Ramirez's coach down at White's ELITE Fitness Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Ramirez's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Ramirez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Pfeifer keeps the fight on the outside.
Pfeifer throws a big counter combination but Ramirez scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Ramirez wants to clinch up but Pfeifer keeps it at a distance.

Pfeifer lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.

Pfeifer lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Ramirez circles away quickly and effectively.

Pfeifer rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ramirez moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pfeifer is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Ramirez doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Pfeifer crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Pfeifer's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:28 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Manny Ramirez!
Manny Ramirez decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
