Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ricardinho Pfeifer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fabian Roman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pfeifer tries to keep at a distance but Roman has taken the fight into the clinch.
Roman tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Roman tries to pull guard but Pfeifer won't allow it.
Roman has Pfeifer pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Pfeifer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Ricardinho Pfeifer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fabian Roman.

Roman is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Pfeifer is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Pfeifer is pushing Roman's head away, looking to escape. Roman manages to hold on to the position though.
Roman swings around for an armbar but Pfeifer sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Roman's guard.
Roman looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pfeifer has picked Roman up and slammed him! Roman can't keep hold of the triangle and Pfeifer manages to pass to side control!
Roman is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Pfeifer has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Roman is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Pfeifer asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Roman tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Pfeifer wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Pfeifer avoids the strikes from the bottom by Roman.

Roman is looking for a sweep.

Roman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Pfeifer gets caught flat footed, as Roman shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Roman keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Pfeifer's head.

Pfeifer slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
