Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mick Mulvaney (ranked 3813 p4p, 185 weight class) and Juan Rizky (ranked 6641 p4p, 321 weight class). Mulvaney comes into the arena with The Rocky Road To Dublin blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Mick Mulvaney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Juan Rizky! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mulvaney throws a one two combo.
Mulvaney getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Mulvaney lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Rizky at a distance.
Mulvaney scores with the left hand. Rizky knows he should have avoided that one.
It looks like Juan Rizky has been cut. A leg kick checked by Rizky. Mulvaney throws a right hand that Rizky ducks under and follows up with a left that Rizky also avoids with ease. Rizky is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Mulvaney with a body shot. A head kick misses from Mulvaney. Mulvaney comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Mulvaney tries to bum rush Rizky with a series of wild strikes but Rizky uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Good standup being displayed there by Mulvaney as he connects with a hook. Mulvaney drops Rizky with a nice combination! Mulvaney dives into Rizky's guard, looking to finish!
Rizky is rocked! Mulvaney prevents Rizky from getting back to his feet. Rizky is still in real trouble! Can Mulvaney finish him? Mulvaney stays in close to Rizky's body and controls the position. Rizky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mulvaney defends it easily. Mulvaney throws a big elbow that misses. Mulvaney prevents Rizky from getting back to his feet. Rizky seems to have recovered his senses. Rizky is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rizky looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Rizky bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Mulvaney's guard.
Mulvaney has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mulvaney tries to land a sweep but no joy. Rizky with a flurry of punches that miss. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Mulvaney holds on and takes a little breather. Rizky distracts Mulvaney with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Mulvaney is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage. Rizky with a flurry of punches that miss. Rizky working some strikes from top position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rizky throws a big elbow that misses. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Rizky's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Mulvaney looking for a sweep. Not yet Mulvaney, not yet. Rizky throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Rizky lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Rizky prevents Mulvaney from getting back to his feet. Mulvaney wants to sweep but no luck. Rizky trying to control the position from guard on top but Mulvaney is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rizky landing with the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rizky wants to pass the guard but Mulvaney is keeping the position. Rizky postures up in Mulvaney's guard and throws a big left but Mulvaney blocks it. Rizky with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Mulvaney preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Rizky has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rizky trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Mulvaney wriggles free and stands up. Mulvaney throws a left and a right that both miss
and Rizky counters with a big head kick but Mulvaney shrugs it off. Good leg kick by Mulvaney there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Mulvaney bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Rizky's head. Mulvaney throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Rizky takes a shot right to the bread basket.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mulvaney scores with a nice strike. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rizky slips a straight right by Mulvaney. Mulvaney misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Rizky.

Rizky lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Mulvaney throws a right hand that Rizky ducks under and follows up with a left that Rizky also avoids with ease. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rizky! But no joy. Mulvaney throws a leg kick but Rizky moved away. It seemed like Rizky was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it. Mulvaney will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Rizky tries for a takedown but Mulvaney sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. As Rizky looks to move away, Mulvaney throws a big counter combo but Rizky just gets out of the way. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mick Mulvaney dominated that round. The cut man is working on Juan Rizky's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Rizky has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Mulvaney finds it's way round the side to connect with Rizky's head. Mulvaney tried to score with a low kick but Rizky checks it. Rizky tries a quick counter leg kick but Mulvaney is wise to it. Mulvaney connects with a jab. Mulvaney slips under a jab. Rizky misses with a takedown attempt - Mulvaney sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mick Mulvaney is winning the standup battle so far. A big right from Mulvaney misses. Mulvaney swinging wildly here.
Mick Mulvaney seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Mulvaney looks to land a combination but Rizky avoids it well. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Rizky! But no joy. Rizky tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mulvaney sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Rizky somewhat.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mulvaney fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rizky manages to avoid it. Rizky shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mulvaney defends it nicely. Mick Mulvaney has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Juan Rizky. Mulvaney bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Rizky's head backwards. Good exchange - Mulvaney coming out on top. Rizky takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Mulvaney fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Rizky backs away from a small jab... but Mulvaney lunges forward with a huge superman punch! Rizky crumples to the ground as his mouth piece is sent flying! Mulvaney with a spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Mick Mulvaney! A very excited looking Mick Mulvaney rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
