Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Khai Amur (ranked 5265 p4p, 572 weight class) and Roland Roundtree (ranked 5089 p4p, 554 weight class). The key to victory for Khai Amur has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Khai Amur! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Roland Roundtree! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Roundtree gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Roundtree takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Amur changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Roundtree fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Amur avoids it really well and circles away. Amur is looking to counter punch. Amur definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Roundtree with a lazy takedown attempt and Amur counters with a lovely straight right hand! Khai Amur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roland Roundtree. Amur's corner calls for a 1-2. Amur obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Roundtree tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Amur counters with a stiff right hand. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Roundtree fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Amur avoids it really well and circles away. Roundtree walks into a stiff left hand from Amur.
That's one minute gone in the round. Amur throws a good cross that connects.

Amur is trying to push Roundtree away but Roundtree has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. Roundtree breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Amur keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Roundtree has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. The fight stays on the outside here - Roundtree looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Amur appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Amur connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Roundtree momentarily.
Amur lands the left hand. Amur cracks Roundtree with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

A decent looking cross lands there for Amur. Amur is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Roundtree misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Amur scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Roundtree doesn't seem bothered though. Roundtree has a takedown stuffed. Amur is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Roundtree takes a shot right to the bread basket. Roundtree shoots in and drives through. Amur sprawls well. Amur's corner calls for a 1-2. Amur obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Amur throws a good cross that connects.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Amur scores with the left hand. Roundtree knows he should have avoided that one. Amur connects with the punch. Amur fakes a head shot and lands one to the body. Roundtree takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Amur cracks Roundtree with a good jab. Amur dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Amur lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Amur connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Roundtree momentarily.
Amur stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Amur misses with a hook. Amur lands a glancing blow to the side of Roundtree's head. A shot to the liver by Amur. Beautiful body shot. Amur goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. Roundtree looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amur connects with a body shot. Amur is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Amur looks to land a right hand but Roundtree moved out of range. Amur comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Amur fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Roundtree on the side of the head. Amur scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Khai Amur is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Amur lands with a good body shot. Roundtree walks into a stiff left hand from Amur. Roundtree fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Roundtree shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Amur's jab looks to have found its range, popping Roundtree under the eye. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Amur connects with a good right hand that stumbles Roundtree. Roundtree circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Roundtree takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Khai Amur dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Roundtree will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Roundtree shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Amur counters with a nice body shot. Roundtree with a lazy takedown attempt and Amur counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Khai Amur has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Roland Roundtree. Roundtree takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Roundtree shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Amur but Amur pushes him off and we're back to square one. Roundtree fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Amur swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Amur connects with a body shot. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Amur scores with a jab. Roundtree acknowledges it with a nod of the head. Amur connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Roundtree's hands. Roundtree walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roundtree misses with a right hand and Roundtree takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Amur cracks a nice hook into Roundtree's ribs. Amur tests Roundtree's chin there with a solid looking shot. Amur lands a jab to the head.
Amur takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Roundtree takes a body punch but keeps moving. Amur dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Amur bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Nice cross by Amur. Khai Amur is winning the standup battle so far. Roundtree moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Roland Roundtree is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jab, jab by Amur - just one landing. Amur jabs at Roundtree's body. Amur connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Khai Amur seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Amur dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Roundtree fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Amur avoids it really well and circles away. Roundtree is breathing heavily. A jab from Amur finds it's way through Roundtree's defenses. Amur lands an overhand right. Roundtree shoots in but no luck this time. Amur uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook. Donk. Amur catches Roundtree right on the button with a cross. Roundtree takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming. Amur clobbers Roundtree with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Amur digs a good body shot into Roundtree's ribs. Roundtree takes one to the side of the head.
Amur lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Amur is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Roundtree can do to turn this around? Roundtree walks into a left hand. Roundtree takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Roundtree is rocked! Amur's corner calls for a 1-2. Amur obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Roundtree is still on wobbly legs! Can Amur finish him? Roundtree moves into the clinch. Roundtree seems to have recovered his senses. Roundtree misses with an elbow strike.
Amur gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Roundtree.
Roundtree prevents Amur from breaking the clinch. Roundtree has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Amur stalling in the clinch but Roundtree improves position. Roundtree pulls guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Amur's corner is telling him to maintain position. Roundtree manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Amur manages to get himself to full guard.
Amur is controlling Roundtree's posture. Amur is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Roundtree throws a big elbow that misses. Roundtree with a flurry of punches that miss. Roundtree forces his way into half guard. Amur holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Khai Amur dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Amur connects with a body shot that sends Roundtree's belly button to the back. Roundtree is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Amur's half guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Amur wants to improve his position but Roundtree is controlling well.

That's one minute gone in the round. Roundtree landing a few strikes. Roundtree lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Amur gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Roundtree lands a nice shot to the head. Roundtree has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Roundtree throwing strikes here but Amur is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Amur is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Roundtree is in the full mount, landing strikes. Amur tries to hold on but Roundtree postures up. Roundtree throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Amur because Roundtree loaded up on that one.

Roland Roundtree has got the better of the ground game so far. Amur holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Roundtree tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.

Roundtree unloading with bombs! This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Roundtree has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Amur's face.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Amur is working hard here to advance position. Roundtree lands a nice shot to the head. Poor strikes thrown by Roundtree there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Amur on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Amur tries to get out of the position. Roundtree avoids the attempt from Amur to control. Roundtree looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.
Roundtree controlling from the full mount. Amur knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roundtree on the ground. Roundtree pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Roundtree thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Amur is working to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Roundtree is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Amur is surviving well by controlling Roundtree's body position as best he can. Amur tries to reverse the position but Roundtree maintains control. Roundtree fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Amur is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Roundtree tries to control but Amur wriggling away. Amur is desperately trying to improve his position but Roundtree has a good base and remains in mount. Roundtree is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Amur can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
This has been an exciting period of action! Amur keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Roland Roundtree comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Amur has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Khai Amur! Khai Amur decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
