Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donald Summer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Hoo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hoo has chosen Middle Distance Runner by Sea Wolf as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Donald Summer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Doug Hoo! The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Emerson Jorge and Thiago Cunha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Summer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hoo. Summer misses with a straight left. Summer looks to land a left hand but Hoo moved out of range nicely. Hoo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Summer as he avoids it easily. A big right from Summer misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoo fails with a takedown attempt. Summer pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summer looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. Summer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Summer throws a jab when Hoo was well out of range.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Hoo bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Summer is trying to get back to half guard. Hoo landing a few strikes. Hoo lands a decent elbow from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hoo in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Hoo cracks Summer with a big right hand but Summer just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Hoo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Summer is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Summer manages to work his way to half guard, despite Hoo's best efforts. Summer tries to kick Hoo off in order to stand up. Hoo Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control. Summer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hoo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Summer knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Hoo on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hoo working the ground and pound. Summer tries to buck Hoo off but Hoo is having none of it. Summer taking punishment in the form of punches.
Summer is looking for a sweep. Hoo works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Hoo is staying tight to Summer's torso, preventing him from escaping. Summer wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Summer is letting Hoo control him for a moment. Summer tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Hoo wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hoo connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Summer some visible discomfort.
Summer is trying to get back to half guard. Hoo working the ground and pound. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy. Summer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hoo takes a little break here. Summer wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well. Summer is working to avoid the ground and pound but Hoo connects with a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Summer misses with a looping right. Summer waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Hoo. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hoo fails to land the takedown.
That's one minute gone in the round. Summer pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Summer misses with a hook. Hoo ducked under it nicely. Hoo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Summer is fending him off so far but Hoo persists. Nope, Summer circles away and we're back to standing. Donald Summer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doug Hoo. Hoo looks for a takedown but Summer sprawls well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Nice defenses there by Hoo. Summer throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Summer takes a swing at Hoo's ribcage but misses. A slow jab from Summer misses its intended target.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summer thows a body shot but no joy. Summer connects with a single shot there.
It looks like Doug Hoo has been cut. Hoo keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Summer. Donald Summer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Summer is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Hoo.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Summer misses the jab. Doug Hoo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Summer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hoo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Summer circles away. Summer misses with a hook. Hoo ducked under it nicely. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hoo uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Summer. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donald Summer dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Doug Hoo's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Hoo displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Summer throws out the jab. Summer is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Summer misses with a looping left. Hoo avoids the body shot from Summer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Summer looks to land a left hand but Hoo moved out of range nicely. Hoo ducks under a wild hook from Summer. Hoo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Summer misses with an uppercut. Summer throws a hook to the side of Hoo's head but Hoo sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hoo. Donald Summer has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Doug Hoo. Hoo moves out of range of the strikes. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Summer throws a looping overhand right but Hoo ducks down to avoid it.
And that's the end of the fight! Donald Summer showed his dominance in that final round. I think Summer has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
