Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Speva Koso (ranked 2047 p4p, 211 weight class) and Brandon Lee (ranked 4931 p4p, 432 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Speva Koso!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of New York, Brandon Lee!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Columbo Gatti and Steve Montenegro.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Koso throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Lee unleashes a big counter combination but Koso bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Lee closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Koso is looking to slow Lee down with leg kicks.
Lee shoots for a takedown but Koso saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Koso fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Lee.
Koso looks to score with a jab to the body but Lee is just out of range.
Lee looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Lee takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Lee connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Lee shoots in for a double leg but Koso sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Lee misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Koso.
Koso seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Koso tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Lee throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lee closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Koso to the mat! Koso manages to get full guard.

Koso bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lee's guard.

Koso stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lee swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lee pulls Koso in close to his closed guard and prevents Koso from doing any damage or advancing position.

Koso slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Koso is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lee is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Koso goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Lee rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Koso's guard! Nice work there by Lee!

Koso is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Lee is aware though and is defending well.

We've been hearing good reports from Koso's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

That was a close round but I would say that Speva Koso will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Lee falls off balance throwing a combination

and Koso counters by moving into the clinch.

and Lee counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lee sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Koso's guard.

Koso has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Lee escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Lee!

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Speva Koso.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Koso, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
