Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gerry Kelly (ranked 195 p4p, 28 weight class) and Tyson James (ranked 823 p4p, 119 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the light heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Gerry Kelly! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Tyson James! The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and Alyssa Summers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kelly looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Kelly, right into the meat.
James's coach down at AREA 51 was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on James's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kelly moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
It looks like Tyson James has been cut. James ducks under a wild hook from Kelly. James uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kelly. James has taken the fight to the clinch.

James wants to get back to striking at distance but Kelly won't allow it.
James wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kelly swings wildly with an uppercut but James uses good head movement to avoid it. James is trying to stall.
James is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. James looking to throw knees to the head but Kelly is blocking nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. James breaks from the clinch.
James scores with a crisp jab that stopped Kelly in his tracks. Kelly lands with a straight right. James didn't see that one coming. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. James bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Kelly's head. James fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Kelly, pushing him back against the cage. James blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That's one minute gone in the round. James is trying to pull guard but Kelly has him pressed against the cage. Kelly lands with a good tight uppercut to the head. Kelly working aggressively here.
James throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kelly blocks it with crossed arms. Kelly lands a nice shot to the body. Kelly lands a nice shot to the body. James looks winded! Kelly landing knees to the body.
Kelly's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. James slips a jab and a cross from Kelly.
James walks into a stiff left hand from Kelly. Kelly lands a big right hand that sends James crashing to the mat! Kelly stays standing though and waves James back to his feet! Kelly looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. This has been an exciting period of action! Kelly throws a nice inside leg kick. James swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Kelly keeps the fight on the outside. James darts in and clinches Kelly up against the cage. Kelly blocks an uppercut.
James tries for a takedown but Kelly manages to get underhooks.
Gerry Kelly has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyson James. Kelly scores with a nice hook to the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kelly lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of James backwards.
That has opened up Tyson James's cut even more. James misses with an elbow over the top. A head punch blocked on the inside by James. Kelly makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut. A short right from Kelly on the inside. Kelly blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Still in the clinch, Kelly scores with a nice short uppercut. James misses with a hook to the ribs.
A shot in the inside from James. Kelly with the Thai clinch. He's looking to land a big knee but he's not managed it this time.

With the fighters up against the cage, James throws an elbow but misses. Kelly makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
The cut above Tyson James's eye is starting to cause him problems now. James doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Kelly escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
James tries to clinch there but Kelly circles away.
James pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Kelly back to the cage. James follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. James stuns Kelly with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range. James avoids a lazy jab quite easily. A head kick misses from Kelly.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kelly lands a big uppercut and James crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but James looks OK. Kelly waves James back to his feet!
James is rocked! James walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. James is still on wobbly legs! Can Kelly finish him?
Tyson James's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters. Kelly keeps the fight on the outside. Kelly flashes James a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. James's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. James crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Kelly punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Gerry Kelly! Gerry Kelly retains his light heavyweight title! Our winner, Gerry Kelly, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
