Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boy Blubber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Maxwell Murker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Maxwell Murker will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Boy Blubber!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Maxwell Murker!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Shigeki Fujiwara.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murker throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Boy Blubber seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Murker bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Blubber is breathing heavily.

Murker closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Murker lands in his opponent's guard.

We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Murker has eaten all the pies!

Murker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Blubber. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Murker closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Blubber to the mat! Blubber manages to get full guard.
Murker would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Murker wants to pass the guard but Blubber is defending well.
Murker is trying to control the action in half guard but Blubber is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Blubber makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Blubber.

I looks like Murker might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Blubber is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Murker has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Blubber is working away from the top position though.
Murker is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Blubber's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Blubber's back!
Murker doesn't have the hooks in and Blubber manages to turn into his guard.
Murker wants to sweep but no luck.

Blubber thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Blubber drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Murker dives on top into guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Blubber had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Murker is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Blubber Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Murker's back instead.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Murker tries for a takedown but Blubber sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Blubber tries to clinch but Murker moves out of range.

Murker fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Blubber sprawls well initially but Murker persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Blubber wants to improve his position but Murker is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Murker wants to control but Blubber is keeping him busy.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Murker escapes and gets back to his feet.

Nice sprawl there from Blubber as Murker shoots in.
Murker scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Blubber doesn't seem bothered though.

Blubber has closed the distance and engaged Murker in a clinch.

Blubber decides to pull guard.

Murker is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Blubber is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Murker off and has taken his back!

Blubber patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
I really don't envy Murker right now.

Blubber is persistently looking for the submission but Murker is defending it well.
Boy Blubber overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Blubber is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Murker defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Blubber is working for a rear naked choke. Murker is not defending it well and Blubber has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Murker refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Murker's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
