Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ruslan Temirov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 8 - 1, fighting out of London, David Dickinson! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Temirov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Temirov misses with a looping right. Dickinson slips a jab from Temirov. Temirov misses with a looping left. Temirov looks to throw the jab but Dickinson is out of range. Dickinson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. A punch combination from Dickinson misses. Dickinson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Temirov wants to stand up but Dickinson is controlling him. Temirov has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Dickinson is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Temirov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Temirov jabbing away but nothing is landing. Temirov takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Temirov throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Dickinson sees it coming and avoids it easily. Dickinson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Temirov throws a combination. Dickinson tries to block but a couple of punches get through. Dickinson instigates a clinch. Temirov's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dickinson goes for a double leg but Temirov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Temirov continues to drive forward. Temirov looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Temirov looks to land a left hand but Dickinson moved out of range nicely. As Temirov backs off Dickinson throws a huge counter combo but Temirov manages to avoid it all. A swing and a miss from Dickinson. Temirov is looking for a counter combo. Dickinson gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Dickinson struggles to land a body shot inside as Temirov controls his hands.
Temirov breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ruslan Temirov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Temirov comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Dickinson throws a head kick but Temirov moves out of range.
Dickinson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Temirov.
Dickinson rushes Temirov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Temirov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Danga de danga de dang - Temirov scores with a four punch combination! Dickinson uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Temirov. Temirov throws a body shot but no joy. A swing and a miss from Temirov. Dickinson scores with a takedown into Temirov's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dickinson wants to pass the guard but Temirov is keeping the position. Dickinson is pushing down on Temirov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Temirov is fighting to maintain full guard but Dickinson has managed to sneak the leg through. Dickinson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Temirov has managed to free his arm - good work. Dickinson missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dickinson is working for a submission of some sort.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Dickinson wants to free his trapped foot but Temirov is holding on for dear life with his legs. Temirov wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dickinson not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Dickinson is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ruslan Temirov dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Temirov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away. Ruslan Temirov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dickinson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Temirov. Dickinson tries to clinch up. Temirov looks to land a right hand but Dickinson moved out of range. Dickinson is looking to clinch. A slow jab from Temirov misses its intended target. Dickinson takes the fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Temirov breaks from the clinch.
Temirov throws a shot from downtown. Dickinson moves away and avoids it. Both fighters circling a little - Dickinson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body. Temirov just misses with a punch to the body.
Dickinson tries a quick counter leg kick but Temirov is wise to it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dickinson misses with the combination.
Temirov gets tackled into the cage by Dickinson. Dickinson maintains the clinch. Temirov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ruslan Temirov is winning the standup battle so far. Dickinson is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Temirov lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Dickinson wants to clinch. Temirov throws a hook but Dickinson blocks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dickinson keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Temirov. Dickinson with the counter takedown but Temirov avoids it easily. Temirov cracks Dickinson with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Dickinson tries to clinch up but Temirov circles away and keeps his distance. Temirov's corner calls for a 1-2. Temirov obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Temirov jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Dickinson is rocked! Temirov throws a monster overhand right that drops Dickinson! Temirov follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
