Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Youssoufa Diallo (ranked 7394 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Lorent (ranked 8080 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Diallo might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Africa soukouss. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Youssoufa Diallo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Lorent! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Trevor Gratis and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Diallo misses the jab. A countering left hand to the body from Lorent misses. Diallo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lorent on his heels. He'll look to pass Lorent's guard now, I'm sure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Diallo drops back looking for a leg! Lorent is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lorent manages to kick Diallo off! Diallo jumps back into Lorent's guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Lorent can do anything to dispel that myth. Diallo trying to control the position from guard on top but Lorent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Diallo throws a big elbow that misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Diallo connects with a couple of short punches. Diallo is looking to work some ground and pound but Lorent has wrist control. Diallo drops back looking for a leg! Lorent is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lorent manages to kick Diallo off! Diallo jumps back into Lorent's guard. Diallo wants to control from the top but Lorent keeps moving. Diallo throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Lorent works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Diallo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Diallo is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lorent keeping moving, preventing Diallo from controlling successfully. Lorent wants to stand but Diallo is controlling the position. Diallo trying to control the position from guard on top but Lorent is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Diallo decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Diallo frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Diallo is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Lorent can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Diallo working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lorent turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Diallo off and cradles Lorent's limp body as Diallo celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Youssoufa Diallo! After winning the bout, Youssoufa Diallo thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
