Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Roger Dawson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Steven Williams! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Francis DeMontford and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dawson leaves Williams with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Dawson misses with a straight right. A countering left hand to the body from Williams misses. Nice defenses there by Williams. Williams tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. A lazy left from Dawson finds it's target. Nice uppercut there from Dawson. Dawson lands a jab to the head.
Williams keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Dawson. Williams tries to counter by closing the distance. Williams ducks under a wild hook from Dawson. Dawson lands with an overhand left. Williams shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Williams scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Dawson has one foot on Williams's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Williams on the wrong end of a nice jab.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dawson lands a really nice looking cross but Williams seems unphased.

Williams is rocked! Dawson scores with a hook to the body. Williams takes a step back and tries to catch his breath. Dawson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Williams sprawling to the canvas! Williams rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Dawson finish him?!
Williams is still on wobbly legs! Can Dawson finish him? This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dawson fires a straight punch through the middle that cracks Williams square on the jaw! Damn, Williams is out cold on his feet and topples face first to the canvas! Wow, I haven't seen a knockout that brutal in a long time!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Roger Dawson! Roger Dawson decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
