Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Johnny DeCoco (ranked 9761 p4p, 602 weight class) and Chosu McGrady (ranked 1935 p4p, 214 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Johnny DeCoco! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chosu McGrady! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Ben Hemmingworth and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McGrady lands with a nice body punch. We've been told by DeCoco's head coaches at Cozad MMA LA Elite that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. McGrady throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
DeCoco moves out of range of the strikes. McGrady throws a right hand that DeCoco ducks under and follows up with a left that DeCoco also avoids with ease. DeCoco feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McGradys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! McGrady darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. DeCoco keeping control of the position. DeCoco is looking to improve his position.
McGrady is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, DeCoco has managed to free his arm - good work. DeCoco trying to hold on to McGrady's head to control him but McGrady postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Well, if McGrady is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
McGrady lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. DeCoco is positioning himself well to prevent McGrady advancing to mount. McGrady seems to be looking for submissions.
DeCoco looking for submissions from an awkward position here. DeCoco trying to hold on to McGrady's head to control him but McGrady postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. McGrady drops an elbow to the side of DeCoco's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McGrady is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and DeCoco defends it well. DeCoco wants to improve his position but McGrady is controlling well.

DeCoco looking for submissions off his back. McGrady stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows DeCoco to get to his feet. Chosu McGrady seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. McGrady moves out of range as DeCoco strikes. DeCoco connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
That's three minutes gone in the round. McGrady lands a jab-cross combination. McGrady shoots in for a takedown but DeCoco shows good takedown defense. McGrady scores with a takedown into DeCoco's guard. McGrady connects with a couple of short punches. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McGrady stopping the sweep attempt from DeCoco. McGrady lands a couple of digs. McGrady with a flurry of punches that miss. DeCoco lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. DeCoco pushing down on McGrady's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. McGrady wants to get back to his feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeCoco tries to pass the half guard into mount. McGrady knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. DeCoco is stalling here. McGrady is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! DeCoco seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and McGrady has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. McGrady thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. DeCoco taking a bit of punishment here - McGrady scoring with strikes. DeCoco is trying to get back to half guard. McGrady tries to advance to mount but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chosu McGrady dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
McGrady misses with a hook. DeCoco ducked under it nicely. McGrady thuds his right hand into DeCoco's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. No luck with that takedown attempt from McGrady. DeCoco is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from McGrady. DeCoco uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from McGrady. DeCoco goes for a double leg but McGrady avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as McGrady continues to drive forward. McGrady tries to move into range but DeCoco moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. McGrady has been the more effective fighter overall so far. DeCoco rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but McGrady moves out of range and avoids them all easily. McGrady misses with a hook
and DeCoco cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. DeCoco shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McGrady as he avoids it easily. McGrady shoots in and gets a takedown into DeCoco's guard. McGrady forces his way into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Ground and pound from McGrady. McGrady is working for a kimura but DeCoco is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. McGrady looks to score some points with some ground and pound. McGrady is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's two minutes gone in the round. McGrady working the head and body with strikes. DeCoco looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. DeCoco is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment. McGrady thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed DeCoco's head. DeCoco is defending against the submission attempts here by McGrady.

That's three minutes gone in the round. McGrady sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. DeCoco defending well though. McGrady is controlling the pace.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. McGrady trying to control from DeCoco's half guard. DeCoco has other ideas though and has regained full guard. DeCoco is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. McGrady is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Chosu McGrady has got the better of the ground game so far. McGrady drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but DeCoco manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now McGrady has DeCoco in his guard.
McGrady wriggles free and stands up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chosu McGrady showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
A swing and a miss from DeCoco. DeCoco cracks a nice hook into McGrady's ribs. McGrady misses with a looping left. McGrady throws a right and a left that DeCoco avoids nicely. DeCoco misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
McGrady looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. DeCoco throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. McGrady is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own. McGrady has a takedown stuffed. McGrady misses with a series of wild punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McGrady uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before DeCoco has time to react. DeCoco throws a looping overhand right but McGrady ducks down to avoid it. McGrady throws a counter combo. McGrady shoots in but DeCoco avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeCoco gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows McGrady to score an easy takedown into full guard. DeCoco wants to sweep here but McGrady controlling him for the moment. DeCoco pulls McGrady in close to prevent any damage. McGrady with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. McGrady makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. McGrady drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says McGrady as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! DeCoco screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with McGrady! Nice submission victory there!
