Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eric Draven (ranked 1893 p4p, 195 weight class) and Luiz Diaz (ranked 4252 p4p, 383 weight class). Draven comes to the cage accompanied by Dead Souls. Eric Draven could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Luiz Diaz's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Draven! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Luiz Diaz! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Draven turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Diaz swats away the attempt to clinch by Draven. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Draven. Diaz shrugs it off though. Draven tries to close the distance and clinch but Diaz swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Draven is looking to slow Diaz down with leg kicks. Draven pushes Diaz away with a front kick. Draven connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Diaz momentarily.
Draven tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice body kick from Draven. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Draven is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz. Diaz doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Diaz moves out of range of the body kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Draven.
Draven throws the left hand but Diaz avoids the punch easily. Draven fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Draven misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Diaz counters with a series of strikes. Draven will be more careful next time no doubt. Draven lands a nice looking body shot.
Draven thumps Diaz with a low kick. Draven lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Draven throws a head kick that misses and Diaz connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Draven keeps Diaz at a distance using the push kick. Draven listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut. Draven scores with a jab to the jaw. Eric Draven is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Diaz walks forward, straight into a front kick from Draven. Draven's corner calls for a 1-2. Draven obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range. Diaz tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Draven lands with a kick to the ribs.
Draven tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Diaz takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Draven lands with a shot to the body. Eric Draven seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Draven throws a good cross that connects.
Draven with a nice cross. Draven throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Diaz's head.
Diaz is rocked!
It looks like Luiz Diaz has been cut. Diaz steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Draven. That one must have hurt. Diaz takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Draven misses with a kick to the body.
Diaz has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Draven finds it's way round the side to connect with Diaz's head. Draven pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Diaz looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Draven tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd cheers as Draven lands an impressive looking overhand right. Diaz doesn't seem phased though. Draven closes the distance but Diaz moves to the side and Draven takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Draven is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Draven bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A solid leg kick lands there for Draven.
Diaz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Diaz takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Draven misses with a body shot.
Draven scores with a slapping inside leg kick. A swing and a miss from Draven. Draven throws a head kick that half lands.
Draven jabs Diaz right on the nose. Diaz blinks but takes it well. Draven throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Diaz uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Draven.
Draven lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Draven looks to land a left hand but Diaz moved out of range nicely. Diaz now looks to counter with a shot at the body. Draven misses with a wild body shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Draven misses with an uppercut. Diaz saw that one coming. Draven feints and then cracks Diaz's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Diaz down. Draven throws a sloppy head kick and Diaz moves out of range easily. Draven connects with an inside leg kick. A looping hook to the body misses from Draven. Diaz does a little dance to reset his feet. A countering left hand to the body from Diaz misses. Draven throws a front kick aimed at Diaz's knee but Diaz avoids it well. A countering left hand to the body from Diaz misses. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Draven.
Draven lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Draven throws a wild body kick that Diaz sees coming a mile off. Draven lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Draven scores with a kick to the midsection. Draven cracks the inside of Diaz's front leg. Nice shot lands for Draven. Draven throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Draven dominated that round. The cut man is working on Luiz Diaz's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Diaz on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Diaz looks for a takedown but Draven sprawls well. Draven lands a nice looking body kick. Draven feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Diaz's calf. Diaz takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Diaz shoots in and drives through. Draven sprawls well. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Diaz might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Draven has got the better of the exchanges. Diaz takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Draven gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Diaz to score an easy takedown into full guard. Draven is pulling down on Diaz's head to control his posture. Draven is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Draven knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Diaz on the ground. Draven wants to stand but Diaz is controlling the position. Diaz stopping the sweep attempt from Draven. Diaz is working Draven over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Draven is trying to keep Diaz in close.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Draven wants to stand but Diaz is controlling the position. Draven looking for a sweep. Not yet Draven, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Diaz lands a couple of digs. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Diaz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Diaz lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Diaz stands up over Draven, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Diaz throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Draven works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Diaz lands a couple of decent looking shots. Draven controls Diaz momentarily but Diaz frees himself. Draven lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Draven sitting in guard, not really doing much. Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Draven gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Draven trying to control but Diaz is working from the bottom. Draven got a little sloppy there for a moment and Diaz has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Draven has managed to get both his arms back between Diaz's legs - danger averted. Draven trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Diaz working a defensive guard here.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Draven trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Draven throws an elbow that misses. Diaz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Draven's guard. Nice move by Diaz!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Draven looking to control.
Diaz stops Draven from standing up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Luiz Diaz will probably get the nod - 10:9. The cut man is working on Luiz Diaz's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!
Draven feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Diaz's calf. Draven throws a push kick but Diaz slaps the foot to one side. An inside leg kick lands from Draven. Draven is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Diaz can do to turn this around? Nice body kick from Draven. Draven tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Diaz was well out of range. Poor timing from Draven. Draven throws a head kick that misses letting Diaz counter with a right hand. Diaz changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Draven looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Draven wants to get back to his feet but Diaz is dominant here and he's now got Draven's back! Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Draven covering up well under a barage of strikes. Diaz controlling well, preventing Draven from escaping the position.
Diaz tries to keep control of the position but Draven is staying busy. Diaz working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Draven is doing well to defend. Diaz seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Draven is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Luiz Diaz! An out of breath Luiz Diaz thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
