Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bruce Hardman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
37 - 14 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Rocky Tyson!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shigeki Sano and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Tyson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Hardman misses with a hook
and Tyson finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Hardman takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Hardman misses with a straight left.
Tyson dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Hardman. That did some damage!
Tyson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Hardman gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Bruce Hardman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hardman throws a nice head kick!
Tyson swings for the body but Hardman moves out of range.
Tyson throws a head kick that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Donk. Hardman catches Tyson right on the button with a cross.
Hardman throws a sloppy head kick and Tyson moves out of range easily.
Tyson scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Tyson wants to land a leg kick but Hardman is out of range.
Hardman looks for the body kick but Tyson saw that one coming.
Tyson looks like he wanted to counter with a high kick but didn't throw it.
Tyson moves out of range of the strikes.
Hardman throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
It looks like Rocky Tyson has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hardman slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Look low, kick high! Hardman uses the oldest trick in the book to send Tyson tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Hardman is absolutely delighted - when Tyson wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Bruce Hardman!
