Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Wu Chu (ranked 2060 p4p, 305 weight class) and Tommy DeVito (ranked 1688 p4p, 251 weight class). Tommy DeVito has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Wu Chu's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Wu Chu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tommy DeVito! The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! DeVito misses with a takedown and Chu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. DeVito throws out a loose jab but Chu uses good head movement to avoid it. We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that DeVito has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat. DeVito rushes in with a sloppy looking punch

and Chu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. DeVito throws a hook but Chu avoids it easily. A punch lands to the side of DeVito 's head but he takes it in his stride. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. DeVito misses with a hook
and Chu counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. DeVito rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and DeVito takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Chu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chu scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Nice jab there from DeVito. DeVito throws a lazy uppercut
and Chu counters with a lovely straight right hand! DeVito throws a right hand that misses
and Chu connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. DeVito takes a body punch but keeps moving. Nice defenses there by Chu. An attempted straight right counter from Chu misses the target. DeVito on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Chu comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. DeVito rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and DeVito takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from DeVito. Chu has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Play House in the buildup to the fight.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeVito swings widly with a right hand
and Chu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. DeVito fails with the takedown and Chu counters with a lovely straight right hand! Wu Chu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy DeVito. Chu scores with a body shot.
A big left from DeVito misses. DeVito throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Chu counters with a two punch combo. DeVito doesn't succeed with the takedown letting Chu counter with a right hand.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chu thuds a left hand into DeVito's body. DeVito connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt. DeVito misses with a takedown and Chu counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps DeVito thinking. DeVito looks winded! DeVito has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from DeVito there as he acknowledges the shot. Chu works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. DeVito doesn't succeed with the takedown and Chu cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Chu is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. DeVito misses with a left hand and Chu counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
That's four minutes gone in the round. DeVito misses with a takedown attempt and Chu counters with a nice uppercut. DeVito fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Chu avoids it really well and circles away. DeVito fails with the takedown and Chu counters with a left to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Chu lands a jab to the head.
DeVito misses with a takedown attempt and Chu counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. DeVito shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Chu counters with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Wu Chu dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Chu sends DeVito crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Chu is motioning to the referee to let DeVito up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet! Chu slips a straight right by DeVito. Chu is looking to counter punch. A big right from DeVito misses. DeVito has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye. DeVito closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - DeVito lands in his opponent's guard. Chu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that DeVito can do to turn this around? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Chu can't keep his opponent in guard - DeVito advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. DeVito tries to pass to full mount but Chu defends it. DeVito sitting and controlling from the half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. DeVito is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Chu sees it coming and defends easily. DeVito is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Still in half guard, DeVito seems content to control. DeVito is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Chu is just riding it out for now. DeVito eventually gives up the hold.
That's two minutes gone in the round. DeVito slows the pace down in half guard. DeVito wants to work for an arm triangle but Chu is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
DeVito is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chu defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chu has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. DeVito is working away from the top position though. DeVito content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. DeVito looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. DeVito wants to take a breather but Chu is having none of it. DeVito is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
DeVito is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! DeVito is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Chu is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
