The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nickolson slaps away a takedown attempt from Tang, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Tang takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Tang looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Tang has a takedown stuffed.
Nice takedown defense from Nickolson. No joy for Tang on that attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Pootie Tang. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Nickolson defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tang.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

enabling Nickolson to counter with a crisp jab.

Tang takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Nickolson lands with a shot to the body.
Tang takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Tang is rocked!
Nickolson steps in with a hook that catches Tang right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Nickolson follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Tang looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vike Nickolson!
Vike Nickolson got down on his knees post fight and begged the management for a title shot. 'Please, I want that title shot so bad! Give it to me!'
