Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Antone Fulton! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Starpen! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Fulton with that takedown attempt. Starpen is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Fulton dives in for a single leg takedown but Starpen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Fulton gets caught napping as Starpen dives in and scores a takedown. Fulton manages to retain guard. Starpen stands and throws Fulton's legs to the side, diving into side control. Starpen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fulton, who protects the arm well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fulton is trying to control Starpen's posture but Starpen avoids it. Fulton wants to get back to his feet. Fulton trying to remain calm as Starpen controls from the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Fulton tries to get back to half guard but can't. Starpen wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Fulton, who protects the arm well. Fulton wants to get back to his feet. Fulton is not content to let Starpen control the position. Starpen thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Starpen is looking to take a break and control but Fulton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fulton really is a fat lump. Fulton gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fulton flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.

Starpen is working close to his opponent, looking to work a submission by the looks of things. Oh, he's managed to get a guillotine from mount as his opponent reached up! That looks tiiiiight! Will he tap? YES, he's tapped! Impressive submission by Starpen!
