Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Studd (ranked 8720 p4p, 714 weight class) and Scott Strait (ranked 9293 p4p, 728 weight class). Strait has chosen Feel So Numb as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Scott Strait!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Studd is looking to clinch but Strait is avoiding it.
Studd looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Strait darts in looking for a takedown but Studd gets double underhooks and turns Strait into the cage.
Strait will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Strait showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Studd.
A lazy body kick from Studd
and Strait counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Studd makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Strait circles away from the clinch attempt.
Strait looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Studd is fending him off so far but Strait persists. Nope, Studd circles away and we're back to standing.
John Studd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Scott Strait.
Studd leaves Strait with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Strait shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Studd's coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Strait is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Strait should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Strait in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Studd tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Strait!

Scott Strait spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
