Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Usain Clark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mike Faehn !
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Paulsen Ambrosius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark has his takedown stuffed

and Faehn counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Faehn .

Clark can't break the clinch.

Faehn 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Clark fails with an attempt to clinch.
Clark misses with a takedown

and Faehn counters with a takedown into side control.
Faehn misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Clark is not content to let Faehn control the position.
Clark seems a little lost for a moment, as Faehn dominates the positioning.

Clark is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Faehn off and has taken his back!
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Clark's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Clark throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch.

Faehn is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Clark gets his way!
Faehn is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.

Clark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Faehn manages to stand up with Clark still on his back. Eventually Clark drops to his feet and we're back in the standing position.
Clark tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Faehn paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Clark wants to clinch up but Faehn keeps it at a distance.

Faehn moves into the clinch successfully.

Faehn lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.

Clark makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Faehn looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Clark!

Clark is trying to control Faehn 's posture but Faehn avoids it.
Faehn tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Clark is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
You can see the frustration on Clark's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That was a close round but I would say that Usain Clark will probably get the nod.

Clark dives in for a single leg takedown but Faehn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Clark wants to stand but Faehn has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Clark throws a big elbow that misses.
Faehn has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Faehn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clark keeps working.

Faehn is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Clark has escaped the position, nice work there.
You can see the frustration on Clark's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Clark tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Faehn wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Clark wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Clark is trying to maintain the position but Faehn is very close to passing his half guard.

Faehn is working for a submission of some sort.
Faehn not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Clark trying to hold on to Faehn 's head to control him but Faehn postures up.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Clark is trying to get back to full guard.

Mike Faehn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Clark looking to take Faehn 's back but Faehn rolls and after a scramble, Faehn ends up on top in guard. Nice escape there from Faehn to escape a tricky position.

Clark is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Faehn rolls with it to try and escape but Clark cranks on the arm and Faehn is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
