The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anjos forces Calderon back against the cage and clinches.

Calderon seems to be working for a kimura but Anjos defends the submission attempt.

Calderon is trying to force a seperation but Anjos has the dominant position.

Calderon really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Anjos lands a hook that snaps the head of Calderon backwards.
Calderon blocks a body shot from Anjos.

Calderon pulls Anjos into guard.
Anjos is fighting to break Calderon's control of his arms but Calderon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Anjos drops back, looking for a kneebar! Calderon looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Calderon looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Calderon!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Anjos works his way to full guard. Good work.

Calderon gets to his feet - Anjos follows without any prompting.

Anjos tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Calderon pulls Anjos in close to prevent any damage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Calderon keeping moving, preventing Anjos from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Thiago Anjos will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Anjos creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Anjos tightens his grip and picks Calderon up, before dumping him to the ground. Calderon manages to land in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Calderon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Anjos on the ground.

Anjos wants to control from the top but Calderon keeps moving.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Anjos lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Calderon falls backwards - clearly groggy! Anjos dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!
