4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Murley! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Marshall Sanders! The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Russell Pearce and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Murley misses with a straight right. Murley avoids a punch combination nicely.
Sanders misses with a two punch combination.
Nice uppercut lands for Murley. That snapped Sanders's head back.
Sanders fails to land with a series of punches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Murley pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Sanders lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected. Murley uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Sanders has time to react. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. A big right from Sanders misses. Murley tries to counter by clinching up but Sanders breaks away and moves out of range.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murley cracks Sanders with a right hand to the side of the head. Murley moves into range and clinches up with Sanders. Murley tries to throw a body punch but Sanders avoids it by throwing Murley back against the cage. Murley stalling against the cage.
Murley lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Murley is working Sanders over against the cage. A short right from Murley on the inside. Murley works on Sanders's body with a couple of short punches. Sanders looks winded! With the fighters clinched against the cage, Murley creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A short right from Murley on the inside. Sanders is looking to break free of the clinch but Murley has double underhooks. Murley lands a body punch in the clinch. Murley lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Sanders is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Sanders is trying to break the clinch but Murley is controlling him. Sanders is still on wobbly legs! Can Murley finish him? Murley lands a body punch in the clinch. Murley unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Sanders! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Murley is unloading with more strikes now! Sanders drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Scott Murley! A very excited looking Scott Murley made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
