13 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joe Gatsby! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kane Stanfield! The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, David Schapiro and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gatsby feints and then cracks Stanfield's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Stanfield down. Gatsby avoids the body shot from Stanfield.
Stanfield throws a hook to the side of Gatsby's head but Gatsby sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Stanfield throws a body kick that misses. Gatsby looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Stanfield has his feet on Gatsby's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Stanfield has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Joe Gatsby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Stanfield misses the jab. Gatsby bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Stanfield takes one to the side of the head.
This has been an exciting period of action! Gatsby takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Stanfield leaves Gatsby with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Stanfield takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Stanfield throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gatsby sees it coming and avoids it easily. Stanfield tries a head kick but it misses.
A nice inside leg kick there by Gatsby. That's going to slow Stanfield down. Stanfield throws a low kick but Gatsby avoids it. Gatsby throws a jab but it's blocked by Stanfield. Kane Stanfield is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Stanfield dips to his left and cracks Gatsby with an uppercut! Stanfield bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Gatsby takes a kick to the side of the head.
It looks like Joe Gatsby has been cut. Stanfield throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Stanfield throws a lazy uppercut
and Stanfield takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Stanfield fails to land with a series of punches.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gatsby avoids the head kick by Stanfield.
Gatsby scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. A jab lands there for Gatsby. Gatsby throws a good cross that connects.
Stanfield tries to move into range but Gatsby moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. A big right from Stanfield misses. Stanfield takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Gatsby jabs at Stanfield's body. Gatsby avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Stanfield might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable. Gatsby shoots for a double leg takedown but Stanfield sprawls well. He's pushed Gatsby's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Joe Gatsby. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gatsby instigates a clinch. A short right hand to the side of the head by Stanfield. Stanfield pushes Gatsby back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head. Gatsby has Stanfield pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Stanfield manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. A head punch blocked on the inside by Gatsby. Gatsby goes for a takedown attempt but Stanfield pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Stanfield tries to clinch but fails miserably and Gatsby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Gatsby scores with a jab. Stanfield avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Gatsby throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Stanfield plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Gatsby blocks a head kick by Stanfield.
Stanfield lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Gatsby backs up against the cage.
Gatsby will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

It looks like Kane Stanfield has been cut. Stanfield moves out of range as Gatsby strikes.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Stanfield uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Gatsby. Gatsby throws out a loose jab but Stanfield uses good head movement to avoid it. Stanfield throws a hook but Gatsby avoids it easily. Gatsby keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Stanfield waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Gatsby. It looks like Gatsby has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. Gatsby walks into a stiff left hand from Stanfield. Gatsby fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Stanfield manages to avoid it. Gatsby throws a nice outside leg kick. Stanfield looks to land a combination but Gatsby avoids it well. It looked like Gatsby was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit. Stanfield throws a lazy uppercut
and Gatsby counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Gatsby moves out of range as Stanfield throws a body kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Gatsby throws a leg kick and Stanfield counters with a stiff right hand. Gatsby slips a straight right by Stanfield. Gatsby lands a two punch combo.
Stanfield throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. As Stanfield tries to get set, Gatsby tries to push him back and clinch up but Stanfield manages to avoid the attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Joe Gatsby will probably get the nod. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Gatsby throws a hook to the side of Stanfield's head but Stanfield sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Gatsby tries to bum rush Stanfield with a series of wild strikes but Stanfield uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Gatsby lands with a hook. Stanfield tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Stanfield fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Gatsby on the side of the head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stanfield gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Stanfield just misses with a punch to the body.

and Stanfield counters with a nice uppercut. Gatsby takes a swing at Stanfield's ribcage but misses. Stanfield throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Gatsby sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Joe Gatsby is winning the standup battle so far. Gatsby fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Stanfield ducks under a wild hook from Gatsby. Horrible takedown attempt by Gatsby or perhaps it was just good defense by Stanfield, which made it look bad. Stanfield cracks Gatsby with a good jab. Gatsby misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Gatsby throws a looping overhand right but Stanfield ducks down to avoid it. No joy there for Gatsby, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Stanfield misses with a straight left. Gatsby scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Stanfield bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet! The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Stanfield throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Stanfield is looking to land body kicks.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Stanfield looks to throw the jab but Gatsby is out of range. Stanfield gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Gatsby to score an easy takedown into full guard. Gatsby is standing up over Stanfield. Stanfield looks to escape but Gatsby dives into side control.
Gatsby is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Stanfield has escaped the position, nice work there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Stanfield struggling a bit here. Gatsby looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Gatsby is trying to get an arm triangle but Stanfield is defending well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Stanfield prevents Gatsby from improving position. Stanfield is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Gatsby trying to control the position but Stanfield is working away. Gatsby goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Stanfield has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gatsby but great work by Stanfield. Stanfield stands up and we're back to a striking position.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gatsby checks a leg kick. Stanfield throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Gatsby's head. Stanfield misses the jab. Gatsby misses with a series of wild punches.

and Gatsby cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stanfield closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Stanfield scores with a nice hook to the head. Gatsby has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Stanfield avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Gatsby blocks an uppercut.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Kane Stanfield will probably get the nod - 10:9. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

and Stanfield counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A jab from Stanfield does it's job there. Gatsby pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Gatsby darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Gatsby is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Stanfield is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Gatsby misses with the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Gatsby is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Stanfield is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Stanfield pushes Gatsby away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Gatsby gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Kane Stanfield has got the better of the ground game so far. Gatsby lands a decent elbow from side control. Gatsby wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stanfield keeps working. Stanfield takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Stanfield is pushing Gatsby's head away, looking to escape. Gatsby manages to hold on to the position though. Stanfield is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gatsby's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Gatsby slips a nice elbow through Stanfield's hands, connecting with Stanfield's forehead.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gatsby wants to work for an arm triangle but Stanfield is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Gatsby is working for a submission of some sort.
Stanfield looks like he's trying to stand up.
Stanfield has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Gatsby is working away from the top position though. Gatsby is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Stanfield looks like he's trying to stand up.
Stanfield controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Gatsby is looking for a kimura but Stanfield is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Gatsby to get the leverage. Stanfield wants to get back to his feet.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Gatsby lands strikes from half guard. Stanfield is looking to escape.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Gatsby showed his dominance in that final round. I think Gatsby has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
