Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gee Gee Allen (ranked 1230 p4p, 187 weight class) and Eusebio Zapata (ranked 1680 p4p, 255 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Gee Gee Allen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Eusebio Zapata! The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, David Hoff and Bart Greer.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A swing and a miss from Zapata. Zapata looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights. Allen throws a jab but it's blocked by Zapata. Allen seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym. Allen closes the distance and clinches. A short left from Zapata. A head punch blocked on the inside by Zapata. Zapata throws a punch but it's blocked by Allen. Allen prevents a body shot from Zapata. Zapata tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. An uppercut to the body lands inside from Zapata. Zapata swings wildly with an uppercut but Allen uses good head movement to avoid it. Allen tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Allen throws a head punch that misses. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Allen lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Allen. Allen lands with a left to the head. Zapata lands a right hand. Zapata tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zapata blocks a punch to the side of the head.

That's one minute gone in the round. A short right hand to the side of the head by Allen. Allen throws a head punch that misses. A head punch on the inside from Allen fails to land. Zapata tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Allen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Zapata misses with a hook
and Allen connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Zapata looks to land a left hand but Allen moved out of range nicely. Allen was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit. Zapata throws an off balance right hand
and Allen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Zapata throws an off balance right hand
and Allen counters with a stiff right hand. Allen keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Zapata lands with a cross. Jab, jab by Zapata - just one landing.
It looks like Gee Gee Allen has been cut. Allen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Zapata.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zapata throws a right hand that misses
and Allen counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Allen throws a jab when Zapata was well out of range. Zapata connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Nice defenses there by Allen.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zapata misses with a straight right. Zapata misses with a lunging right hand
and Zapata takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Zapata darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Zapata lands with a hook. Allen tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Allen is rocked! Zapata thows a left - swing and a miss! Oh Allen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! A big right from Allen misses. Zapata finds Allen's off switch, with a big overhand right that connects perfectly to the side of the head! Allen flops back against the cage, eyes gazing into the distance. Zapata lands an unnecessary shot before the referee has time to step in and end the fight. Brutal stuff but I'm sure Allen will be OK.
