Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Rhyland Tatum (ranked 6478 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kreig Philips (ranked 6546 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Rhyland Tatum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kreig Philips! The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Michael Johnstone and Sandra Marshall.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tatum dives in and scores a takedown into Philips's guard. Tatum might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Philips throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land. Philips wants to sweep but no luck. Tatum showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Tatum has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tatum would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatum passes easily into side control. Nice work. Philips gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Philips wants to hold on but Tatum pushes him away. Tatum is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Philips can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Tatum with shots to the head and body - Philips looks very uncomfortable down there. Tatum tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Tatum with the ground and pound from mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatum landing strikes, looking to finish! Philips takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Tatum connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tatum content just to control the position here. Philips taking shots to the head. Philips really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tatum. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tatum content just to control the position here. Philips is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatum is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Philips can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Tatum takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Tatum cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Philips wants to control but Tatum is having none of it. Tatum content just to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatum won't let Philips get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Tatum controlling his opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tatum working away from the top, dropping strikes. Tatum sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Philips tries to lock up and control but Tatum gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Philips tries to improve his position but instead Tatum has taken his back! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rhyland Tatum dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Tatum tries a head kick but it misses.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Tatum lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Philips has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Philips and we're back underway with a touch of gloves. Philips misses with an uppercut
and Tatum counters with a left and a right that stings Philips. Tatum pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Tatum shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Philips as he avoids it easily. Tatum darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Philips trying to control but Tatum postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round. Tatum wants to work for an arm triangle but Philips is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Tatum has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Philips wants to improve his position but Tatum is controlling well.
Philips is striking from the bottom but he's now found himself mounted! Oh dear - not enough focus on defense there.

What can Philips do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatum's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Tatum is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Philips can do to turn this around? Tatum is working hard for the rear naked choke here.
Tatum sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Philips taps out!
