Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Grady Potter (ranked 25258 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reki Takayama (ranked 6421 p4p, 505 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Grady Potter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Reki Takayama! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potter closes the distance and pushes Takayama back into the cage. Potter breaks from the clinch.
A head kick misses from Takayama. Takayama pulls out of a head kick attempt.
As Takayama tries to get set, Potter tries to push him back and clinch up but Takayama manages to avoid the attempt. Takayama has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Potter closes the distance and clinches. Takayama breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Takayama darts in and clinches Potter up against the cage. Takayama breaks the clinch.
Takayama looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Takayama should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Potter tries to clinch up. Takayama tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away. Reki Takayama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Potter tries to close the distance and clinch up but Takayama swats him away and circles back towards the center. Potter tries to clinch there but Takayama circles away.
Despite the aggression on Takayama's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter. Potter wants to clinch up but Takayama keeps it at a distance. Takayama misses with a looping left.
That's one minute gone in the round. A momentary lapse in concentration from Potter enables Takayama to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Potter manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Takayama passes Potter's left leg - he's now in half guard. Potter gets full guard. Takayama is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Potter keeping full guard, as Takayama tries to pass. Takayama advances to half guard. Potter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Takayama on the ground. Potter tries to kick Takayama off but Takayama keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Takayama trying to control the pace. Potter wants to control but Takayama is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Takayama looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Potter with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Takayama is looking for a kimura here.
Potter looks like he's trying to stand up.
Takayama controlling the action here. Potter is looking to escape.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Takayama works his way into full mount! Takayama landing strikes from the mount and Potter is in trouble!
Potter is rocked! Takayama looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Potter covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!
