Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Art Vandelay (ranked 270 p4p, 34 weight class) and Frank Dux (ranked 1000 p4p, 116 weight class). Vandelay comes to the cage accompanied by Answering Machine. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Art Vandelay! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Dux! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dux closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vandelay's guard. Vandelay wriggles free and stands up. Vandelay punishes Dux's body with a nice straight punch. Dux swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Dux walks into a straight right hand from Vandelay. Dux darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Vandelay holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now. Dux is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Dux prevents Vandelay from standing back up.
Dux trying to control from half guard but Vandelay is working away. Vandelay is looking for a sweep. Dux is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dux missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Vandelay is holding on to half guard well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vandelay is not content to let Dux control the position. Vandelay keeping control of the position. Dux thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Vandelay's head. Vandelay is trying to get back to full guard. Vandelay is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at Urban Achievers that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet. Vandelay keeps control of the position for the meantime.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Dux is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Vandelay sees it coming and defends easily. Vandelay controlling the position well. Dux looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Vandelay throws a body punch but Dux moves out of range. Vandelay looks to throw the jab but Dux is out of range. Vandelay swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Vandelay lands a nice hook to Dux's body. Dux takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Dux is trying hard to land a takedown here. Vandelay sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Frank Dux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dux throws a sloppy body shot
and Vandelay counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Dux slips a jab and a cross from Vandelay.
Dux drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Vandelay defends it well. A swing and a miss from Dux. Dux uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Vandelay.
Vandelay lands a nice shot that snaps Dux's head back.
Dux throws the left hand but Vandelay avoids the punch easily. Dux takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Dux is rocked! Vandelay closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Dux! Vandelay dives in looking to finish! Dux is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Art Vandelay! Art Vandelay retains his lightweight title! Art Vandelay thanked the fans post fight for their support.
