Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jack Zabijaka (ranked 4108 p4p, 466 weight class) and Andre Costa (ranked 8107 p4p, 679 weight class). The key to victory for Jack Zabijaka has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jack Zabijaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Andre Costa! The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zabijaka instigates a clinch. Zabijaka creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Costa's defenses. Zabijaka breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Zabijaka fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Costa, pushing him back against the cage. The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. Costa jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Zabijaka walks away with a smile on his face. Costa gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Zabijaka darts in and clinches Costa up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Costa's face as he tries to break the clinch. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Costa as Zabijaka tries to tie him up. Costa tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Zabijaka softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Zabijaka scores with a shot to the side of Costa's head. Zabijaka working some nice short punches in the clinch. Zabijaka breaks the clinch.
Zabijaka gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Zabijaka keeps control of Costa as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Zabijaka lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Costa jumps guard but Zabijaka stands there with Costa around his waist. Costa gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Jack Zabijaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Andre Costa. Costa stalling in the clinch but Zabijaka improves position. Zabijaka lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Both guys are working to get underhooks. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Zabijaka crunches a lovely knee into Costa's ribcage. Zabijaka using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Costa has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Zabijaka manages to break the clinch.
Costa shoots in for a takedown but Zabijaka shows good takedown defense. Zabijaka clinches up with Costa and pushes him back against the cage. Costa tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Zabijaka's elbow. Zabijaka throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Costa blocks it with crossed arms. Zabijaka lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Costa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
That's two minutes gone in the round. A battle for position here, against the cage. Costa is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Costa is trying to slow the pace down but that's a couple of times in a row that he's tried to get underhooks and Zabijaka has denied him. Costa taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Costa is looking to break free of the clinch but Zabijaka has double underhooks. A right hand to the body from Zabijaka.
Zabijaka makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Costa is rocked! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Zabijaka dips a shoulder and cracks Costa with a mighty uppercut! Costa falls back against the cage and Zabijaka unloads with a barrage of strikes! Costa is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Zabijaka screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Zabijaka! A relieved looking Jack Zabijaka thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
