Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Rowan Stevenson (ranked 5509 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Lopez (ranked 7489 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevenson comes to the cage accompanied by the epic opening track of Queens Of The Stone Age's new album "Villains". Pedro Lopez has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Rowan Stevenson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

and Lopez decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Stevenson's guard.

Lopez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Lopez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Lopez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Stevenson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Lopez has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Lopez not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Stevenson enables Lopez to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Stevenson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Stevenson has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Lopez has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close second round but I would say that Rowan Stevenson will probably get the nod.

Lopez with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Stevenson to score with a decent uppercut.
