Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Adam Blampied (ranked 3783 p4p, 348 weight class) and Rex Bolt (ranked 6198 p4p, 514 weight class). Adam Blampied had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 156.5lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rex Bolt!
The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolt has managed to clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Bolt.
Blampied manages to break the clinch.
Blampied closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Blampied in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Bolt pushes Blampied away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Blampied gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Blampied definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blampied takes a little break here. Bolt wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Blampied seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Bolt for as long as he can get away with.

Blampied closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Bolt quickly recovers to half guard.
Bolt looks like he's trying to stand up.
Blampied stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Bolt to get to his feet.

Blampied has clasped his hands together around Bolt's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bolt is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Blampied asserts his dominance and retains side control.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Bolt is letting Blampied control him for a moment.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bolt fails with an attempt to clinch.
Some wild striking there from Bolt.
Bolt has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Blampied is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Bolt is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bolt lands with a slapping head kick.
Blampied slips a jab and a cross from Bolt.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Blampied closes the distance and pushes Bolt back into the cage.
Bolt gets underhooks to prevent Blampied's takedown attempt.
Blampied has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Bolt clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Bolt tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blampied swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Blampied bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Bolt wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Bolt bucks up and tries to throw Blampied off but instead Blampied has got his back!

Blampied has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Blampied really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Bolt.
