The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svenson misses with a few strikes there.
Bjorn Svenson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Belfort shoots for a double leg takedown but Svenson sprawls well. He's pushed Belfort's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Svenson misses with an uppercut. Belfort saw that one coming.
Svenson misses with a hook. Belfort ducked under it nicely.
Belfort on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.

It looks like Vitor Belfort has been cut.
Svenson throws a hook but Belfort avoids it easily.
Svenson moves into range and connects with a jab.
Belfort lands a jab-cross combination.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Svenson connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Belfort tumbling to the canvas! Svenson pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Belfort was done - good stoppage!
