Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bob Fury (ranked 756 p4p, 23 weight class) and Donnie Jones (ranked 2666 p4p, 89 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Fury might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to J Dilla - Time: The Donut of the Heart. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Bob Fury! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Donnie Jones! The judges for this bout are Santiago Holmes, Bart Greer and Peter Branson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Donk. Jones catches Fury right on the button with a cross.
It looks like Bob Fury has been cut. Fury shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Fury gets slowly back to his feet. Jones fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Fury on the side of the head. Fury looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jones is fending him off so far but Fury persists. Nope, Jones circles away and we're back to standing. Jones throws a right hand that Fury ducks under and follows up with a left that Fury also avoids with ease. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fury is defended easily by Jones. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bob Fury. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Fury sees it coming and avoids it easily. Jones bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Jones has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Jones moves out of range as Fury strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Fury closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jones circles away. Jones connects with a single shot there. Jones swings for the body but Fury moves out of range.
Fury throws out a powerful jab. Fury shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Fury tries to score a power double leg takedown but Jones sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Fury somewhat. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Jones! But no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones lands with a shot to the body. Fury uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones. Jones scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent. Jones lands a two punch combo.
A punch lands to the side of Fury 's head but he takes it in his stride. Fury takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Bob Fury's cut is getting worse. A momentary lapse in concentration from Jones enables Fury to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Jones manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Fury looking to pass the guard. Fury passes easily into side control. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jones is not content to let Fury control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is trying to get back to his feet. Fury thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Fury staying calm. Jones is trying to buck Fury off. Fury tries for a kimura but Jones is defending well. Fury wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Jones, who protects the arm well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done! Fury tries to advance to mount but can't. Jones is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Jones bucks up and tries to throw Fury off but instead Fury has got his back! Jones is trying to get back to his feet but Fury has full control of the position and if anything, Jones has just worked his way into a worse spot. Fury has good solid back control here. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Jones is trying to defend against the choke here but Fury has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Fury Tightens the hold and Jones taps out furiously! Fury displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bob Fury! A relieved looking Bob Fury thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
