Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lino Farrell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Keshi Kerosha! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Shigeki Fujiwara and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kerosha clinches up against the cage. Kerosha looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Kerosha has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Farrell uses from the top position. Farrell content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Kerosha keeping moving, preventing Farrell from controlling successfully. Kerosha looking for a sweep. Not yet Kerosha, not yet. Farrell controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Farrell postures up and lands a big shot to Kerosha's brow. Kerosha should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. That's one minute gone in the round. Farrell chips away with some ground and pound. Farrell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Farrell's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kerosha throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Farrell is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Farrell fails with an attempt to clinch.

Kerosha tries to roll over but Farrell keeps him under control. Farrell has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Farrell slips a nice elbow through Kerosha's hands, connecting with Kerosha's forehead. That's three minutes gone in the round. Kerosha blocking the ground and pound attempt from Farrell. Farrell not landing any meaningful shots this time. Farrell working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Farrell drops an elbow to the side of Kerosha's head. Farrell takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Kerosha has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Farrell is working away from the top position though. Farrell throwing shots but Kerosha is blocking nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Farrell looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kerosha with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Farrell lands with a punch from half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Farrell lands a nice short elbow. Farrell lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Kerosha taking some punishment here, with Farrell in his half guard. Farrell drops an elbow to the side of Kerosha's head. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Farrell seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Farrell lands strikes from half guard. Kerosha moves in looking to clinch but Farrell pushes him off. Kerosha throws a body shot but no joy. Farrell closes the distance and clinches. Farrell is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Kerosha gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. Farrell has Kerosha pressed against the cage.
Kerosha is trying to maintain a safe position but Farrell gets an underhook and turns Kerosha into the cage. Farrell tries for a takedown but Kerosha manages to get underhooks.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Farrell is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Kerosha pulls him back up using the underhooks. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lino Farrell. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kerosha is breathing heavily. Farrell has Kerosha pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Kerosha manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing. Kerosha pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Farrell avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Farrell appears to be looking for a big counter. Kerosha keeps the fight on the outside. Kerosha shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Farrell trying to control but Kerosha postures up.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Farrell tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land. Farrell is trying to maintain the position but Kerosha is very close to passing his half guard. Farrell is trying to get back to full guard. Lino Farrell overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kerosha blocks the strikes from Farrell.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Farrell is looking to control Kerosha's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Farrell avoid being mounted?
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Kerosha circles away from the clinch attempt.
Farrell moves into the clinch. Kerosha letting Farrell take a breather here. Kerosha is trying to break the clinch but Farrell has him pressed against the cage.

Kerosha is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Farrell has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Kerosha after a bit of a struggle. Kerosha trying to stall but Farrell improves his position.

Farrell is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Farrell pulls guard effortlessly. Kerosha looking to sit in guard and control but Farrell gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Farrell controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Farrell working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kerosha's head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Farrell cracks Kerosha with a solid left hand. Farrell will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Farrell lands a couple of decent looking shots. Kerosha has momentary wrist control but Farrell slips an elbow through the middle. Farrell landing some decent shots from guard. Farrell lands a couple of elbows. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kerosha looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Farrell's corner. There ya go! There ya go! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Kerosha rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Farrell moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Farrell clinches with his opponent.
Kerosha is pressed up against the cage. Farrell has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Kerosha down to the mat. Kerosha avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Farrell blocks a head kick by Kerosha.

Kerosha's coach down at Lock and Roll Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kerosha's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Kerosha got a little sloppy there for a moment and Farrell has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kerosha has managed to get both his arms back between Farrell's legs - danger averted. Kerosha wants to get up but he can't break Farrell's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Farrell doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Keshi Kerosha seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Farrell fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Farrell is trying to maintain the position but Kerosha is very close to passing his half guard. Kerosha seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Farrell is doing well to control the position and prevent Kerosha from advancing to side control.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kerosha feints and as Farrell raises his hands in defense, Kerosha changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Farrell is pulling down on Kerosha's head to control his posture. Keshi Kerosha has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Lino Farrell is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Farrell is trying to control the position from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Keshi Kerosha comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Farrell has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
