Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Anjos (ranked 4640 p4p, 559 weight class) and Jason Miller (ranked 5840 p4p, 666 weight class). Thiago Anjos had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 171.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Thiago Anjos has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Lou da Vinci and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anjos tries to clinch but Miller moves out of range.
Miller misses with a hook. Anjos ducked under it nicely.
Anjos wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Anjos misses with a hook.
Miller connects with the punch.
It looks like Thiago Anjos has been cut.
Miller's coach down at BAD BOY MMA was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Miller's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Anjos cracks a nice hook into Miller's ribs.
Thiago Anjos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Anjos moves out of range of the strikes.
Miller keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Miller lands a jab to the nose.
Miller moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Anjos closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Miller to counter with a crisp jab.
Anjos wants to clinch but Miller slips to the side
and Anjos takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
This has been an exciting period of action!

and Miller counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Miller Throws a clean left jab. Miller Twirls his body and connects with a Spinning Back Fist that connects flush with Anjos's chin! Anjos crumbles to the ground and Miller follows up with some unanswered strikes. It's all over!! Nice standup skills displayed by Miller!
