Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brady Barnes (ranked 1175 p4p, 127 weight class) and John Brown (ranked 3336 p4p, 313 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Barnes might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Boom Boom Out Go The Lights/ Pat Travers. The crowd seem to be enjoying Brown's choice of entrance music: Some Bodies Gonna Get It. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Brown dodges the punch combination from Barnes.
Barnes uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brown.
Barnes throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Barnes misses with a head kick.
Brown with the counter takedown but Barnes avoids it easily.

We've been told by Barnes's head coaches at Midnight MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
