Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Len Richmond (ranked 25557 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikke Niputtaja (ranked 6665 p4p, 0 weight class). Len Richmond has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Len Richmond! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nikke Niputtaja! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Marco Blurström and Johanna Lukiainen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Niputtaja tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Richmond was well out of range. Poor timing from Niputtaja. Richmond shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Richmond was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! You can see the frustration on Niputtaja's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Richmond trying to control the action but Niputtaja is working from the bottom. Niputtaja regains half guard. Niputtaja moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Richmond not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Richmond wants to control from the top but Niputtaja keeps moving. Niputtaja wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Richmond trying to control the position from guard on top but Niputtaja is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Niputtaja tries to strike from the bottom.
Richmond stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Niputtaja swivels though and keeps the full guard. Richmond slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Richmond's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Niputtaja is pulling down on Richmond's head to control his posture.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Richmond closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Niputtaja to the mat! Niputtaja manages to get full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Niputtaja has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Richmond can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Richmond won't allow Niputtaja to sweep him here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Richmond trying to control the position from guard on top but Niputtaja is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Niputtaja wants to sweep here but Richmond controlling him for the moment. Niputtaja working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Richmond doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Niputtaja is tightening it up a little... Richmond has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Richmond reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Richmond taps out! Nice BJJ there by Niputtaja!
