Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jack Hammar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tommy Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hammar comes into the arena with STAIND blaring out of the sound system. Tommy Gunn is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gunn defending well as Hammar loads up on a big left hand. Gunn wants to clinch up but Hammar keeps it at a distance. Gunn shoots in and drives through. Hammar sprawls well. Gunn avoids the head kick by Hammar.
Hammar gets caught flat footed, as Gunn shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Gunn wants to stand but Hammar has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Hammar is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Hammar keeping moving, preventing Gunn from controlling successfully. Hammar is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Gunn throws and elbow that misses. Hammar uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Gunn's guard. Nice move by Hammar! Gunn wants to sweep but no luck. Hammar stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gunn swivels though and keeps the full guard. Gunn looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hammar is one step ahead there. Hammar trying to control but Gunn is working from the bottom.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Gunn shoots in and drives through. Hammar sprawls well. Hammar circles away from the clinch attempt.
Gunn moves into the clinch successfully.
Hammar breaks the clinch.
Jack Hammar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hammar darts in trying to clinch and Gunn counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Hammar wants to control but Gunn is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hammar looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gunn trying to control the action but Hammar is working from the bottom. Gunn is pressing down on Hammar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Hammar is holding on for now. Gunn looks gassed! Hammar wants to improve his position but Gunn is controlling well.
Hammar is working hard here to advance position. Hammar gets full guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Gunn trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Hammar throws a head kick but Gunn moves out of range.
Jack Hammar is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Hammar plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Hammar throws a sloppy head kick and Gunn counters with a takedown into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hammar is working to avoid the ground and pound but Gunn connects with a decent elbow. Gunn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hammar keeps working. Gunn is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. You can see the frustration on Hammar's face as Gunn controls the position. That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. No luck for Gunn with that takedown attempt. Hammar throws a head kick but Gunn moves out of range.
Gunn looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Hammar is looking to improve his position.
Hammar is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Gunn pulls his head out easily. Gunn passes to side control. Hammar is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Hammar striking from the bottom but nothing landed.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tommy Gunn dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Gunn closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Hammar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Hammar tries to clinch but Gunn is having none of it. Nice sprawl there from Hammar as Gunn shoots in. Gunn tries for a takedown but Hammar sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Hammar throws a lazy head kick and Gunn counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Hammar's guard now. Gunn trying to control the position from guard on top but Hammar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hammar is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hammar looking for a guillotine here but Gunn defends easily.
Gunn stays in close to Hammar's body and controls the position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Gunn trying to control but Hammar is working from the bottom. Gunn must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gunn decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Nice sprawl there from Hammar as Gunn shoots in. Jack Hammar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Gunn. Hammar lands with a kick to the temple. Gunn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Gunn fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Gunn avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hammar throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Gunn looks for a takedown but Hammar sprawls well. Hammar is looking to chop away at Gunn's legs. Gunn avoids the head kick by Hammar.
Gunn closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Hammar to the mat! Hammar manages to get full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hammar not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Hammar escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gunn gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hammar is on top in guard.
Gunn wants to sweep here but Hammar controlling him for the moment. Hammar passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hammar in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Gunn is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
