Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm McKenzie (ranked 5622 p4p, 640 weight class) and Erick Silva (ranked 2249 p4p, 330 weight class). Silva comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kid Ink - F With U (Official Video) ft. Ty Dolla $ign kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The judges for this bout are Peter Branson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva tries for a takedown but McKenzie sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown but McKenzie manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Silva's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Silva looks for a takedown but McKenzie sprawls well.
Malcolm McKenzie has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erick Silva.
Silva feints and as McKenzie raises his hands in defense, Silva changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
McKenzie is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
McKenzie had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Silva defends it easily.
Silva is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McKenzie is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Silva defends well.
McKenzie is looking for a triangle but Silva pushes his legs off easily.
McKenzie will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McKenzie is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Silva is aware though and is defending well.
Silva lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Silva must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
McKenzie escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Silva gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Silva looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Silva lands a couple of digs.
McKenzie working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.

McKenzie has momentary wrist control but Silva slips an elbow through the middle.

We've been hearing good reports from McKenzie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Silva arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! McKenzie's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!

A relieved looking Erick Silva thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
