Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Isaias Mckinney! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Francesco Manzo! The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Reed Andrews.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Manzo has a takedown stuffed. Mckinney changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Manzo shoots for a double leg takedown but Mckinney sprawls well. He's pushed Manzo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Mckinney shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Manzo has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Mckinney is working away from the top position though. Manzo is trying to get back to full guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Manzo keeps trying to improve his position. Manzo wants to get back to full guard but Mckinney has mounted him! Mckinney content just to control the position here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Manzo is in all sorts of trouble here.
Mckinney won't let Manzo get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now. Mckinney really is a fat lump. Manzo is looking to improve his position but Mckinney isn't that keen on the idea. Mckinney has control of Manzo's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Manzo regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Mckinney wants to finish this one by submission but Manzo is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Mckinney.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Manzo is trying to escape the mount.
Manzo is just holding on here. Mckinney manages to take his back.
I really don't envy Manzo right now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Manzo tries to escape but he's let his defenses down in doing so and Mckinney has slipped in the rear naked choke! Oh, that's tiiiiiiiiight! Manzo is tapping! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
