Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duke Lupus (ranked 6596 p4p, 671 weight class) and Simon Browne (ranked 5383 p4p, 605 weight class). Duke Lupus has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Simon Browne!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lupus dives in for a single leg takedown but Browne sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Browne tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lupus was well out of range. Poor timing from Browne.

Browne shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Browne was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Browne is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

It looks like Simon Browne has been cut.
Browne has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Lupus after a bit of a struggle.

Lupus is pressed up against the cage. Browne has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Lupus down to the mat. Lupus avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

After the fight, Simon Browne was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
