Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, John Carter!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Chris Edwards and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carter closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Lopez quickly recovers to half guard.
Lopez tries to roll over but Carter keeps him under control.
Carter looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Carter is nestled in close to Lopez, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carter looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Lopez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Carter's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Carter's back!

I really don't envy Carter right now.
Lopez is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
Carter tries to escape the position.
Lopez is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Carter has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Lopez has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Carter taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Lopez doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Cartel Lopez!
After winning the bout, Cartel Lopez thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
