Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Melankomas Caria (ranked 2838 p4p, 383 weight class) and Billy Blanks (ranked 2697 p4p, 370 weight class). Blanks has chosen wasp - wild child as his entrance music. Billy Blanks will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Dirk Anderson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caria misses the jab.
Caria throws a hook but Blanks blocks it.
Caria takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Caria connects with a leg kick. Blanks looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
An inside leg kick lands from Caria.
Caria has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Ferocious Beast in the buildup to the fight.
Caria looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Caria connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Caria dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Blanks. That did some damage!
Caria takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Caria gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Caria misses the jab.
Caria moves out of range as Blanks strikes.
Blanks has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Caria tries to counter by clinching up but Blanks breaks away and moves out of range.

Caria looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
A jab from Caria finds it's way through Blanks's defenses.

Caria misses with a looping left.
Caria lands a leg kick that knocks Blanks off balance momentarily.
Blanks's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Blanks duly obliges.

Caria is looking to slow Blanks down with leg kicks.
Caria displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Blanks throws out the jab.
Caria quickly followed up with a counter body kick but doesn't connect.
Caria cracks the inside of Blanks's front leg.
Caria connects with the punch.
Caria darts in and clinches Blanks up against the cage.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Caria tries to throw a body punch but Blanks avoids it by throwing Caria back against the cage.

Blanks wants to break the clinch but can't.

Caria throws a punch but it's blocked by Blanks.
Caria lands a nice uppercut.
Caria is looking to control Blanks's arms but Blanks gets an underhook and turns him. Now Caria has his back to the cage.
Blanks blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Caria misses with some punches.
Caria throws a punch but it's blocked by Blanks.
The referee is keeping an eye on Caria - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Caria lands with a left to the head.
Blanks breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Blanks rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Caria moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Blanks is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Caria rather than just go for the knockout.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Blanks looks up at the clock. Bad move! Caria lands a right hand from hell, dropping Blanks. Caria pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Melankomas Caria!
Billy Blanks was interviewed post fight and said 'Where I am today, is where my mind and will put me, where I am tomorrow is where my mind will put me.'.
