The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Remington fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Cunningham goes for a double leg but Remington avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Remington continues to drive forward.
Remington gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Cunningham to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Remington utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Remington controls Cunningham momentarily but Cunningham frees himself.
Cunningham pushing down on Remington's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Cunningham is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Remington is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Remington is working hard here to advance position.
Remington wants to control but Cunningham is keeping busy.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Remington won't allow Cunningham to pass to mount.
Remington is looking to control Cunningham's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Remington avoid being mounted?
Cunningham is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Remington defends it well.
Remington wants to get back to his feet.
