Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Josey Wales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Backslide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Backslide has chosen The Dover Boys as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Backslide! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Backslide misses with a few strikes there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Backslide looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Backslide looks to score with a jab to the body but Wales is just out of range. Backslide misses with a wild combination.
Backslide tries to clinch up but Wales circles away and keeps his distance. Backslide avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wales tries to close the distance and clinch but Backslide swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. That's one minute gone in the round. Backslide pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Wales tries to clinch but fails miserably and Backslide counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Backslide tries to clinch but fails miserably and Wales counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wales. Backslide escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Wales rushes Backslide and presses him up against the ropes. Backslide can't find room to land a body shot as Wales controls the action.
Backslide wants to get back to striking at distance but Wales won't allow it.
The referee calls for Backslide to work.

Both guys are working to get underhooks. Backslide lands a knee to the body.
Backslide is looking to break free of the clinch but Wales has double underhooks. Wales blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Backslide wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Wales manages to pull guard.
Wales bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Backslide's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Backslide being controlled here, momentarily. Backslide keeping moving, preventing Wales from controlling successfully. Wales postures up and lands a big shot to Backslide's brow. Wales wants to control from the top but Backslide keeps moving. Wales looking to sit in guard and control but Backslide gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Backslide decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Wales darts in trying to clinch and Backslide moves into the clinch. Wales gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Wales working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Wales trying to control but Backslide is working from the bottom. Backslide really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Wales. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Wales pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Backslide is keeping the position for now. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wales trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Wales trying to control the position from guard on top but Backslide is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Backslide can't keep his opponent in guard - Wales advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Backslide keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Wales throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Backslide goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Dan Backslide will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Backslide feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Wales crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Dan Backslide!
