PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brent Reid (ranked 2968 p4p, 412 weight class) and Tamas Prochazka (ranked 3673 p4p, 482 weight class). Reid's entrance music is At The Hundredth Meridian - The Tragically Hip. A fine choice. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Prochazka is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Reid. Prochazka with a nice cross. Reid closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Prochazka is trying to escape the position but Reid is controlling the position. Reid lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Prochazka down.
A lull in the action here as Reid stalls from top position. Prochazka defending against the ground and pound. Reid controlling from side mount. Reid has hold of Prochazka's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Prochazka seems comfortable defending it but Reid has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Prochazka is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Prochazka is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Reid couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Brent Reid! A victorious Brent Reid thanked his army of followers in his post fight interview, telling people to make sure they follow him on Twitter.
