Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Boris Kane (ranked 1876 p4p, 286 weight class) and Asu Kuren (ranked 2519 p4p, 365 weight class). Kane comes to the cage accompanied by Seek N Strike. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boris Kane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Asu Kuren! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kuren takes the fight into the clinch. Kane is trying to break the clinch but Kuren is controlling him. Kane tries to circle away but Kuren has him pinned against the cage. Kuren wants the takedown. Kane is fighting it off but Kuren persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Kane's guard against the cage. Kane wants to hit a switch here but Kuren passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Kane there! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kane regains half guard. Kuren not doing much here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane manages to get to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kane keeping moving, preventing Kuren from controlling successfully. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Kane holds on and takes a little breather. Kane looking for a guillotine here but Kuren defends easily.
Kane seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission. Kane not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Kuren stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kane swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kane being controlled here, momentarily. Kane has his foot on Kuren's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kuren works his way back into a safe position though. Kuren trying to control the position from guard on top but Kane is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kane looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Kuren must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Kuren with a nice head shot there. Kane seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Kane is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kuren defends well. Kane keeping moving, preventing Kuren from controlling successfully. Kuren got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kane has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Kuren has managed to get both his arms back between Kane's legs - danger averted.

Kane struggling a bit here. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Kuren working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well. Kuren trying to control the action but Kane is working from the bottom. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kane struggling a bit here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Asu Kuren dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Kuren rushes Kane and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Kuren drops down looking for an ankle pick but Kane pulls his leg out and moves away.
Kuren is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Boris Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Kane looks to land a combination but Kuren avoids it well. Kuren uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Kane.
Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Kuren tries to clinch up but Kane circles away and keeps his distance. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kane misses with a hook. Kuren ducked under it nicely. Kane swings for the body but Kuren moves out of range.

Kane cracks Kuren with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. Kane thows a leg kick but Kuren checks it and Kuren counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kuren's corner is telling him to maintain position. Kane throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Kane looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Kane working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kuren doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kuren manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kuren controls from within his opponent's guard. Kane is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kuren tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. A low kick from Kane misses and Kuren counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. Kane tries to get to full guard but Kuren has control of the leg. Kane makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Kane. Kane is trying to control the position but Kuren postures up. Kuren avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kuren wants to control from the top but Kane keeps moving. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kane manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Kuren manages to get himself to full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Boris Kane will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Kuren wants to take the fight to the mat but Kane manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Boris Kane has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Asu Kuren. Kane has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Kuren uses from the top position. Kane looking to control.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Kuren working the body and head with strikes. You can see the frustration on Kane's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Kane takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Kane tries to buck Kuren off but Kuren is having none of it. Kane is working to avoid the ground and pound but Kuren connects with a decent elbow. And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Asu Kuren. I think Kuren has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
