Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephen Ando! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Giacomo Zappacosta! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ando gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Zappacosta counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Excellent takedown into side control there by Ando. Zappacosta managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Ando.
Ando throws a strike aimed at the side of Zappacosta's head but Zappacosta avoids it well. Ando misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Ando connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Zappacosta some visible discomfort.
Ando working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Ando looks up at the clock and then as Zappacosta takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Ando smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Zappacosta is looking for a sweep. Ando is chipping away with strikes.
Zappacosta really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ando. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Zappacosta is trying to control Ando's posture but Ando avoids it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ando looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Ando working the ground and pound from side control. Ando in side control, throwing shots but Zappacosta defends. Zappacosta is looking for a sweep. Zappacosta takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Ando working the ground and pound but Zappacosta is defending the strikes. Ando fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Ando in side control lands a decent elbow. Ando landing strikes. Zappacosta looks winded!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Zappacosta takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Zappacosta avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Ando. Ando lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Zappacosta down.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Zappacosta on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Ando grinds an elbow into Zappacosta's temple. Ando in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Zappacosta is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
