The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Übensplikt feints and as Pothier raises his hands in defense, Übensplikt changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Übensplikt looking to pass the guard.
Pothier wants to stand up but Übensplikt is controlling him.
Pothier has his foot on Übensplikt's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Übensplikt works his way back into a safe position though.
Übensplikt missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Übensplikt trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Pothier escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Übensplikt gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Übensplikt trying to control the position from guard on top but Pothier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Übensplikt cracks Pothier with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Übensplikt connects with a couple of short punches.
Pothier preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Pothier wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Pothier can't keep his opponent in guard - Übensplikt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Übensplikt looks to score some points with some ground and pound.

Übensplikt knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pothier on the ground.
Übensplikt is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Pothier is hurt! He's hurt bad - Übensplikt fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Pothier from any more punishment! Congratulations to Übensplikt! Great finish!
