Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Roronoa Soro (ranked 5166 p4p, 437 weight class) and Pedro Paulo (ranked 8250 p4p, 537 weight class). Pedro Paulo struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 148.0lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Paulo gets tackled into the cage by Soro. Soro maintains the clinch.
Paulo looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Soro prevents a takedown attempt there.
Paulo drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Soro gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Soro escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A nice combination there by Soro.
Soro swinging wildly here.
Paulo slips a jab and a cross from Soro.
Paulo misses with a few strikes there.
No joy there for Paulo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Soro misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Paulo throws a counter combo.
Soro will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Soro scores with a jab.
Soro scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.

Soro moves into the clinch successfully.
Paulo keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Soro's efforts to push away.

Soro breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Soro misses with a two punch combination.
A combination from Soro does no damage.
Paulo looks to land a right hand but Soro moved out of range.
Soro throws a right hand that Paulo ducks under and follows up with a left that Paulo also avoids with ease.

Soro goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Soro closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Paulo! Soro dives in looking to finish! Paulo is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
