Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mike McCallum (ranked 6709 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Lock (ranked 5590 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mike McCallum! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Raymond Lock! The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, David Schapiro and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McCallum leaves Lock with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Lock shoots in for a double leg but McCallum sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. A quick step to the side and McCallum tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect. Lock falls off balance throwing a combination
and McCallum cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. A bone on bone clash there as McCallum blocks the leg kick.
Raymond Lock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lock tries to clinch and McCallum counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Lock shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says McCallum as he avoids it easily. Mike McCallum has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raymond Lock. McCallum closes the distance and clinches. McCallum holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Lock tries to stall but McCallum uses the opportunity to gain a better position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A body shot lands from McCallum.
McCallum presses Lock against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. A nice right hand lands inside from McCallum. A left hand lands to the body for McCallum.
Lock can't break the clinch.
Lock looks winded!
That's one minute gone in the round. McCallum breaks the clinch.
Lock takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. McCallum uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Lock.
McCallum bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Lock's head backwards. Lock throws a right hand that misses
and McCallum counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. McCallum rushes Lock and presses him up against the cage. McCallum pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. McCallum keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
McCallum catches Lock with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! McCallum is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches. Lock takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. McCallum ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McCallum lands a glancing blow to the side of Lock's head. Lock walks into a jab. McCallum lunges at Lock with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lock's hand. McCallum lands a big right hand that sends Lock crashing to the mat! McCallum stays standing though and waves Lock back to his feet!
Lock is rocked! McCallum steps in with a hook that catches Lock right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! McCallum follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Lock looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike McCallum!
