Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Soda Can (ranked 6852 p4p, 683 weight class) and Tsukimi Nagata (ranked 5143 p4p, 590 weight class). Tsukimi Nagata will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Soda Can! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Tsukimi Nagata! The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Winston Howard and Hugh Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Can misses with a wild combination.
Nagata throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Can was covering up waiting for the punch and Nagata finishes the takedown easily into guard. Can not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Can is looking to stand up but Nagata isn't so interested in that idea. Can wants to sweep here but Nagata controlling him for the moment. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nagata's corner is telling him to maintain position. Nagata forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nagata content to control rather than advance. Can trying to hold on to Nagata's head to control him but Nagata postures up.
Still in half guard, Nagata seems content to control. Can is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Can is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Can has one foot on Nagata's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. Can tries to clinch but Nagata moves away and Nagata decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Can's guard. Nagata is in close to Can's body, working some short punches and elbows. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Nagata has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Can is proving hard to escape from. Can is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Nagata controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nagata looking to pass the guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Nagata shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Can as he jumps to the side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Nagata shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Can defends it nicely. Can looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Nagata decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Nagata controlling the pace. Nagata scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Nagata controlling the action here. Can might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tsukimi Nagata dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nagata fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nagata throws a half hearted mid kick. Nagata throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Can tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Nagata swivels and escapes. Nagata has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Nice sprawl there from Can as Nagata shoots in. Can shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nagata pinned against the cage. Nagata gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Can connects with a crisp jab. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nagata shoots in and bounces Can off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Nagata engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nagata wants to pass the guard but Can is keeping the position. Nagata sitting in guard, not really doing much. Nagata wants to stand but Can is controlling his posture from full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Nagata preventing the sweep. Can looking to control.
Nagata works a leg free and moves into half guard. Nagata wants to free his trapped foot but Can is holding on for dear life with his legs. Nagata lands with a punch from half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nagata not doing much here.
Nagata is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Can sees it coming and defends easily. Nagata seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Can pushes Nagata off but Nagata dives into side control.
Can seems a little lost for a moment, as Nagata dominates the positioning. Tsukimi Nagata has got the better of the ground game so far. Nagata is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Can is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Can is letting Nagata control him for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nagata's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Can taking punishment in the form of punches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Can is trying to get back to his feet. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Nagata wants to stand but Can is controlling his arm.

Tsukimi Nagata showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Can gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Nagata to score an easy takedown into full guard. Nagata drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Nagata jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Nagata wants to stand but Can has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Can trying to control the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Nagata showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nagata looking to pass the guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Can trying to keep a closed guard but Nagata is proving a slippery customer.

Nagata is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Nagata rushes Can and presses him up against the cage. Can has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Nagata after a bit of a struggle. Nagata misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Can.
Can fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nagata pulls Can into guard.
Nagata looking for a sweep. Not yet Nagata, not yet. Nagata is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nagata is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Can is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
